Poems, Prayers and Promises

Bearded Vulture

Them crooked buzzards
Got one over on the Eagles and the Hawks,
Gliding in spirals higher,
Casting sticks and stones,
Hurting feelings and breaking bones
With infectious grooves and Southern Rocks;
Sporting Shaman beard and lock of fire,
Piercing eyes locate the harvest,
Marrow and mineral produce the blazing tones
To be marveled and feared
When in the presence of the Lammergeier.
